Dutch - Italian/French tandem? 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago

Hi there,
I'm Italian/French mothertongue living in Germany and trying to learn Dutch. Anyone interested in a language exchange or in having a pen pal? I really need some help to practice. Dutch is such a beautiful language but learning only from books is so frustrating!
Thank you for your help!

Hi Stefano (what a very Italian name you've got, what's the story behind it, if I may ask),
yes, I am interested. I've never had a tandem language exchange before, so please be patient... I am an almost absolute beginner with Dutch, but I find the language so fascinating! If you like, you can introduce yourself in French and I'll try in Dutch (with French/English comments when I am not sure how it can be expressed. If you have a better idea, please let me know.
Tot ziens,
Chiara
PS. to start with the basics, how do I say hi/hallo in Dutch? I haven't found anything like that in my pocket dictionary (perhaps I've looked in the wrong place).

Hm, strange, you live in Germany and want to learn Dutch? Haha, allright.
I've got problems with French, and I'm Dutch. So maybe that's an idea?

HI, why should it be so strange to live in Germany and want to learn Dutch? All right, I also have to go to Flanders in a couple of months and would like to speak a little Dutch when I am there. I was already there once and I noticed that French was generally understood yet not particularly welcome, hence my desire to learn the language, at least a little bit, to feel more at ease there... and also to show respect and interest for the people there.
Please be patient as I can't write very often. I'm learning for an exam (at the beginning of May) and I've noticed that if I learn too much Dutch my German gets very mixed up with it, which would be very dangerous as I really need to pass this exam with good marks.
If you still want to correspond with me, please do.
Tot ziens,
Chiara
